McDaniel Yacht Basin

McDaniel Yacht Basin

To our valued customers and guests,
During this difficult time, we will be forced to comply with the Governor’s order to furlough all non-essential staff.

We will have limited staff resources on duty in the service and operations departments at each location in order to fulfill all open customer commitments and ensure safe operations.

Unfortunately will be forced to press pause on our spring activities including boat launches. We will be splashing a limited number of units from storage as time allows.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate these difficult waters.

McDaniel Yacht Basin features more than 20 acres of well-protected anchorage and has more than 200 wet slips, 31 of which are covered, 12 are reserved for transients, with another 10 or so dedicated for sales.  The marina can accommodate boats with a max LOA of 70 feet, and a max beam of 18 feet.  The site has capacity to store more than 400 boats on land.

The marina boasts a loyal customer base.  In addition to offering convenient access to the Chesapeake Bay, the marina provides a variety of boat storage options, repair/maintenance services, and many customer services.

McDaniel Yacht Basin was established in 1929 by Dick McDaniel and was purchased by Tom Trainer in 1954.   Galahad Marine Properties purchased the marina in 2016 as part of a portfolio of marina properties.

Galahad Marine’s Mission Statement, “Quest for Excellence”, encapsulates its operational goals.

“We will constantly seek to improve the customer experience by focusing on People, Process, and Product to consistently deliver an industry leading experience from all our business units.”

Galahad’s goal is to deliver concierge level services and amenities across all aspects of recreational boating for boaters who seek a superior experience.
